Protecting Our Community

As the daughter of a law enforcement officer, I grew up watching my father run towards the situations everyone else was running from. I have a deep respect and admiration for our law enforcement officers, and have been a strong ally of theirs in the Senate.

I am committed to making Minnesota a safe place for our families, and have successfully passed legislation that makes Minnesota safer.

Last session, I authored a bill to add penalties for fleeing peace officers, and backed legislation to bring more people into the law enforcement profession.

I will continue to be tough on crime and supportive of our law enforcement officers.
