NFIB Cites Coleman’s Strong Pro-Small Business Record
Golden Valley – The National Federation of Independent Business today endorsed Senator Norm Coleman for re-election. The group cited the Senator’s efforts to protect the right to a secret union ballot, his support for the 2008 economic stimulus package and his efforts to reform healthcare. The NFIB represents small business owners and their employees across America. Sen. Coleman received the endorsement at the McLaughlin Gormley King Co. in Golden Valley, MN.
“It’s a real honor to host Sen. Coleman today,” said NFIB member Bill Gullickson, Chairman of McLaughlin Gormley King. “He is the proven small business candidate in this race. Throughout his first term, he has continually fought for the interests of small business owners, earning our Guardian of Small Business award for his voting record on key small business issues. We deeply appreciate his work on our behalf.”
“Sen. Coleman is a rare commodity these days in Washington and we need more senators like him,” said Dan Danner, NFIB’s executive vice president, public policy and political. “He’s someone who can reach across the aisle and build consensus around real solutions to major problems like health care.”
“Small and independent businesses are truly the growth engine for our economy and I’m proud to have their support,” said Senator Coleman. “I look forward to continuing to work with the NFIB and advocating for small businesses in my second term.”
