Coleman Starts Reelection Bid

A record. It's a theme voters likely will hear often from Republican Sen. Norm Coleman during the next seven months.

During an hourlong stop Thursday at the Copper Lantern restaurant in East St. Cloud, he repeated it to an audience of supporters as he talked about his hopes to keep the Senate seat he's had for the past six years.

"Unlike my likely opponent, I'll run this race on my record because I have one," he said.

The crowd of several dozen Republicans cheered Coleman, who is in the middle of a four-day, 15-city "Bringing Minnesota Together Tour."
