Coleman Launches Re-Election Bid

 During the first five years of Norm Coleman's term as a United State Senator the agenda in Washington has been set by President George Bush. The President has often relied on Coleman's support, including help with the Bush-Cheney reelection campaign in 2004.

Now, as Coleman looks to Minnesota voters to send him back to Washington for another six years, he's asking them to leave President Bush out of the equation. He didn't mention the President once during the opening speech of his 2008 reelection campaign.

"George Bush isn't on the ballot," Coleman told reporters today as he launched his reelection campaign in Saint Paul, "I think what he's (Al Franken) talking about is yesterday and running a race about division. I meant what I said, this is a time for uniters and not dividers."
