Coleman Kicks Off Senate Campaign with Duluth Visit

U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman kicked off his re-election campaign Wednesday with a four-day, statewide “Bringing Minnesota Together” tour. After stops in St. Paul and Rochester, the first-term Republican swung by Duluth’s Radisson Hotel for a meet-and-greet with supporters.
Coleman said he will run as a “proud Republican” and a “voice of optimism in a cynical time” to a crowd of about 140 supporters. He described what he had helped accomplish in the past year: disaster relief for floods in Minnesota, money to help rebuild the I-35W bridge and increased heating assistance, among other things.
