The purpose of Senator Norm Coleman’s recent trip to Douglas County “was to listen and to see a good story.”

That is what he told plant managers and employees at the Alexandria 3M plant during his tour and presentation.

Coleman learned more about the business from Dave Lambert, 3M plant manager, including how many employees the company currently has, the size of the abrasives facility and current and past additions.

Coleman told the roomful of 3M representatives and city, county and community leaders that “3M is pretty special. It is about innovation and it keeps jobs in this area.
