NORM COLEMAN ANNOUNCES “THE HOPE EXPRESS” TOUR

ST. PAUL – Heading into the home stretch of election season, Senator Norm Coleman’s campaign today announced that the Senator will spend the next twenty days meeting with Minnesotans in coffee shops and along Main Street to listen to their concerns and share with them his hope for Minnesota. Calling it “The Hope Express” Tour, the Senator will lay out his eight point plan to get the economy back on track and ask them to join him by casting their ballots for him.

“Minnesotans have been deeply impacted by the economic crisis.  They’ve seen their retirement accounts take a hit, they’ve seen their home values reduced and they are worried about their jobs.  Now is not the time for negative, business as usual ads -- now is the time to get down to work. Norm wants this election to be about the future – not about partisan attacks and the blame game.  That’s why Norm has pulled his negative ads and committed to waging a positive, forward looking campaign for the future of our country,” said Cullen Sheehan, campaign manager.  “Norm’s going to take good ideas from both sides - to stop the fighting and start the fixing. He’s done that as Mayor of St. Paul where he worked to create 18,000 new jobs and he’s been doing that during his term as Senator. During the next twenty days, Minnesotans from every corner of their state will have an opportunity to hear from their Senator and have the opportunity to join the campaign to get the economy back on track.”

Dear Senator Coleman,
I am one of your constituents.
How about AIG's financial crisis ??They turn around and spend $ 400, 000.00 on a conference right after the government agrees to bail them and others out of financial crisis ??
They should be held accountable for their excessive spending in time of crisis.
I am a concerned American who happened to invest some of my hard earned money in an IRA for retirement with them several years ago. I want this issue to be addressed.
And our energy situation..I hear very few of you politicians actually suggesting that we all try to cut back a LITTLE bit. If everyone did so, it could make a difference. Those of us who pay attention to statistics and the news know that offshore drilling will not and can not resolve the probem we Americans face..
I look forward to a response before the election.

Thank You and please help.

Dear Norm my name is Thomas Fries and I worked as a caller on your first campaign many years ago.I'm a friend of brother Hilary and also a correctional worker. I remember when the democrats would say you were on the fringe for standing up on the abortion issue. Thank you for being a major politician for the life of the unborn. My question to think about is what is the government going to do with the problem of one out of every three African Americans in a detention or correctional facility. May God bless you. Tom Fries friestom2212@netscape.net

Hope Express

You can emmualte Obama's inspiriation. That comes from deep within. You may have been better off staying negative as this only makes you look like an opportunist riding a wave that you have repudiated directly and indirectly. It's sad. really sad.

Mr.

How original. A mash-up of the Straight Talk Express and Hope.

Why don't you campaign with Sen. McCain? Is he not popular enough? Bush?
