Norm’s leadership on PSI praised by Senator Joe Lieberman
Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman is speaking out about Senator Coleman’s strong record of oversight and aggressive investigation in the United States Senate. Senator Lieberman released a statement today praising Norm Coleman’s tenure as Chair and Ranking Member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, during which time Senator Coleman’s investigations revealed $80 billion of government waste, fraud and abuse. Lieberman says, “Norm has been aggressive in protecting taxpayers, and rooting out corruption. His leadership is marked by groundbreaking reforms in Medicare, the United Nations and border security.”
Senator Lieberman rightly pointed out that Norm and current PSI chair Senator Carl Levin (D-MI) have kept their focus on protecting American taxpayers through their investigations and asserted that to imply otherwise, as Al Franken has done, is both untrue and irresponsible.
There are only 40 days left until Election Day and we continue to need resources to refute the kind of distortions and attacks which continue to be thrown at Senator Coleman.
