New Coleman For Senate TV Ad: “Hard Times”

In our campaign’s latest ad, “Hard Times,” Norm Coleman expresses his shared concerns with Minnesotans over the rising price of gas and what’s he’s trying  to do as Minnesota’s Mayor In Washington to reduce the burden on Minnesota families . As your United States Senator, Norm Coleman has been fighting to keep gas prices low by standing firm against raising the gas tax, promoting domestic drilling to increase production, and being a leader in promoting  renewable energy sources that can be found right here in Minnesota.

“Like many Minnesotans, Norm is concerned over the rising price of gas and its impact on Minnesota families,” said Cullen Sheehan, campaign manager. “But unlike his opponent, he doesn’t think the solution is to raise the gas tax and increase the cost of gas. Instead, he’s been a champion of increasing off-shore drilling and increasing  made-in-Minnesota renewable fuels. ”

Here’s the ad:

Norm Coleman: “These are hard times, no question about that. When you go to a service station and fill it up, and I think you’re holding your breath. Folks are worried about jobs, cost of food, cost of fuel, cost of kids education.”

Announcer: “That’s why Norm Coleman opposes new gas taxes, fought for energy reforms to reduce food and fuel costs  and increased college aid.”

Norm Coleman: “If you can bring people together, you can make a difference, you can get things done. I’m Norm Coleman and I approve this message.”
