Faribault Chamber of Commerce backs Coleman
The Faribault Chamber of Commerce announced last week that it joined Chamber Leaders for Coleman, a coalition of chambers that support Sen. Norm Coleman in his run for reelection. This is the first time in nearly 10 years that the Faribault Chamber has joined a coalition for a candidate, Chamber President Kymn Anderson told the Faribault Daily News.
Senator Coleman has worked hard to help small businesses throughout his time in office. After his election in 2002, he worked to enact landmark tax cuts that encouraged businesses and employment to grow, and let more Americans keep more of their hard-earned money.
Since then Senator Coleman has consistently backed small business owners, siding with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce about 80 percent of the time.
"It would be a mistake to lose a sitting senator like Norm Coleman," Doug Loon, the U.S. Chamber's vice president of regional affairs told the Daily News.
The Faribault Chamber joins the National Federation of Independent Business and other small businesses throughout the state in supporting Senator Coleman.
