Sen. Coleman Secures Same-Day Passport Office In Minnesota

With passports or passport cards now necessary for air travel to Canada and Mexico, Sen. Coleman and the State Department worked together to open a same-day passport processing office in Minnesota. Once the new office opens, Minnesotans in need of expedited passports will no longer need to travel to Chicago or Denver.

Franken Taxes The Truth

In a clear attempt to mislead Minnesotans about his support for a gas tax increase, Al Franken said “I’d keep it on the table, but I wouldn’t favor that” while participating in a KSTP-TV debate with the other DFL Senate Candidates. Last year, the comedian voiced strong support for hefty gas tax increases, saying “I would certainly keep it on the table and I think we should do it here in Minnesota,” even going so far as to say that “I don’t think people would notice it so much.”

Fighting To Bring Investments, Jobs To the Iron Range

Sen. Coleman today joined other state and business leaders in Keewatin, MN to announce the U.S. Steel will be expanding their Keewatin facility in a big way. According to U.S. Steel, the $300 million project will bring 500 temporary construction jobs and 75 permanent, full-time jobs to the Iron Range.
